Alma Gomez is a dedicated elementary educator with 24 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. She creates engaging, student-centered learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and promote academic success. Alma is committed to fostering a positive classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged to grow. 
Throughout her career, Alma has built strong partnerships with families and colleagues to support student achievement and strengthen school culture. Her commitment to excellence in education has been recognized through multiple honors, including being named Campus Teacher of the Year in two school districts. In her current district, she was recognized as both Campus Teacher of the Year and Elementary District Teacher of the Year, reflecting her dedication to student success and educational excellence. 
Alma's inspiration to become a teacher came from her sister, Nellie, whose encouragement and example sparked her passion for education. She honors her sister's memory by striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her students each day. Alma is the second-youngest of eight children and comes from a family of migrant workers. Growing up in a migrant family instilled in her the values of perseverance, hard work, and determination—qualities that continue to guide her personally and professionally. 
A devoted wife and proud mother, Alma considers her family to be one of her greatest blessings. As a lifelong learner and educational leader, she continually seeks opportunities for professional growth while advocating for the needs of all students. She is proud to serve her school community and remains committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of children every day.
